Cincinnati Brewing History Map (1806-2006) Art Poster - 2 Sizes
This vibrant art poster designed by Acme Artworks features a vintage Cincinnati map and documents 200 years of American brewing history. An eye-catching addition for bars, restaurants, dorms and man-caves.
Cincinnati was one of the leading beer-producing cities pre-Prohibition and has a rich heritage in brewing dating back to the early 1800's. An large influx of mid-century German immigrants brought lager styles to add to the porters and ales offered by the earlier English, Irish and French brewers.
This very distinctive custom-designed map is produced on high-resolution fabric using archival inks, and shows the location and duration of 120+ brewers over a 200-year period. Brewery locations and time spans were validated using a combination of period maps, city directories, newspapers and visitor journals. (Our researchers were the first to document the earliest known Cincinnati brewer from 1806.) Custom design by Jonathan Southwood.
Available in 2 sizes, framed or unframed.
This distinctive map is also available as large wall tapestry.
